More merchants are commissioning multi-vendor mini program malls, and the first question every one of them asks is what it costs. The answer breaks into three lines.
The domain
A domain is the address the mall lives at, and without one nobody can find it, so it is not optional. Different extensions carry different prices, and the choice is not only about cost: think about how the address will be optimised and promoted later. Most users type .com out of habit, which is the argument for it.
The deployment model
This is where the price is really set. A multi-vendor mall can be deployed in one of three ways: SaaS, source-code deployment, or full custom development. Prices run from a few thousand to well over a hundred thousand RMB across those three, and they are not degrees of the same thing — each carries a different ceiling, a different level of control and a different set of obligations. Choosing the right one matters more than negotiating the number.
The server
A good server does two jobs. It carries the mall’s day-to-day operation without falling over, and it decides how fast pages open, which is a user-experience question rather than a technical one. Under-provision and the slowness arrives at exactly the moment traffic does.
XZS Tech maintains a mature standard edition of the multi-vendor mall system across several deployment models. If you are weighing which one fits your case, we are glad to go through it with you.
