Apple customers place great value on products that are simple, refined, innovative and easy to use, and that is what we hope to see on the App Store. You may offer all kinds of excellent design, but to be approved for the App Store you must at least meet the following standards. Also remember that even after an app is approved, you should keep it updated to ensure it keeps working and continues to attract new and existing users. Apps that stop working or whose experience declines may be removed from the App Store at any time.
1. Come up with your own ideas. We know you have ideas of your own; put them into practice. Do not simply copy popular apps on the App Store, or take another app’s name or UI with minor tweaks and pass it off as your own. That risks intellectual property infringement claims, makes browsing the App Store harder, and is unfair to your fellow developers.
2. Minimum functionality. An app should contain functions, content and UI, not just a repackaged website. If an app has no practical value, nothing new, or does not much resemble an app, it does not belong on the App Store. If an app offers no lasting entertainment value, it may not be approved. If the app is just a song or a film, submit it to the iTunes Store; if it is just a book or a game guide, submit it to Apple Books.
