Once a site has been live for a while, many problems await us, and the hardest is fluctuation in keyword rankings. Experienced webmasters hunt the cause through every channel and fix problems as soon as they surface. So what makes keyword rankings unstable?
1. Poor content quality
Content is the soul of the whole site. If the articles you update in ordinary times are usually copied from others, the result cannot be good: the search engine judges it low-quality content, and over time this drags on the rankings.
2. Link partner problems
The quality of the sites you exchange links with matters; linking carelessly to anyone eventually hurts your site. Or some partner sites develop problems, such as falling weight, and if you never check, the rankings destabilise in the end.
3. Unstable servers
Many network companies sell servers, but only a few providers are well known. Choosing badly before buying brings instability, even a site that later will not open; without timely maintenance, keyword rankings naturally suffer, on top of the search engine’s own problems.
Sometimes keywords stay stable for ages and then suddenly start bouncing up and down. You check the site at once and find nothing wrong. This may be a change in the search engine’s algorithm causing the swing. If so, do not worry: keep up your previous work and the rankings slowly recover.
There are in fact many sources of ranking instability; here we have covered the main points for your reference. An XZS Tech website building tip: to achieve results through the internet, first build a solid website, keep learning new knowledge and accumulate rich experience.
Done well, optimisation means that whatever keywords customers search, or whichever internet platform they use, they can see the enterprise’s relevant information. That deepens users’ understanding of the enterprise and imperceptibly raises their trust, which for the enterprise means expanding business and converting more potential customers.
