Custom software is designed according to the user’s requirements, with development following software engineering norms: it proposes the scheme for a new system and runs feasibility analysis, completes outline and detailed design before coding, tests the software after programming ends, trains the user’s relevant staff at delivery, and provides routine maintenance and function expansion after the software runs normally. The application characteristics of custom software show in the following aspects.
1. Strongly targeted
Every software’s development goes through careful system analysis, and programs are written to fit each enterprise’s specific situation. While writing, the manager’s latest management thinking or the most scientific management model can be woven into the software’s mathematical model, greatly raising the software’s scientific value and bringing the enterprise large economic benefits.
2. Easy to use
The programs are written entirely around the enterprise’s existing workflow, so users need only basic computer knowledge to operate the software freely, without complex training.
3. Low cost
Custom software compiles the function modules the enterprise actually needs, cutting features with no practical value, shortening the development cycle to the maximum and so saving development costs.
4. Attentive service
Problems arising in use are all resolved by the developer on site. Software within the debugging period can be fine-tuned to actual application, and even faults arising in non-custom software can be resolved by the developer in a unified way.
