The WeChat mini program application process
1. How to register: on the WeChat official platform’s homepage (mp.weixin.qq.com), click the Register Now button at the top right.
2. Choose the account type: choose Mini Program; click View Type Differences to see the differences and advantages of the account types.
3. Fill in the email and password: use an email never registered with the official platform or open platform, never bound to an enterprise account or personal account.
4. Activate the email: log into the mailbox, find the activation mail and click the activation link.
5. Fill in the subject information: after activating, continue registration. Choose the subject type (enterprise, government, media, other organisation), and complete the subject and administrator information.
Choose the subject type, fill in the information and choose a verification method. Enterprise accounts may choose between two verification methods.
Method one, payment verification: the company’s corporate bank account pays Tencent a designated sum to verify the entity’s identity; the payment details appear after submitting the subject information. Follow the page’s instructions to remit the designated amount to the designated account. Note: complete the remittance within 10 days, or registration fails.
Method two, WeChat verification: verify the entity’s identity through WeChat verification, paying a 300 yuan verification fee. Before verification passes, some mini program functions are unavailable.
