Dongguan Beiyu Electronics Technology was founded in 2008 and positions itself in high-end precision plastic parts. It offers a one-stop service that runs from technical support, mould design, mould making, injection moulding, precision liquid silicone moulding and spray finishing through to sub-assembly and complete machines. To support its overseas sales team, the company built a bilingual corporate portal.
Project background
The company set up a dedicated export team to sell overseas. When an overseas customer looks into a Chinese supplier, the first step is usually to open the website: product capability, company profile and related information have to be presented reliably, and customers in different languages have to understand it.
Site structure
The site has eight sections — home, about Beiyu, products, news, service and support, partners, careers and contact us. The company sells both at home and abroad, so content is presented in Chinese and English.
Technology choice
To keep server operating cost down, the company specified PHP as the development language and open-source MySQL as the database. The stack is light, running costs stay manageable, and it is easy for an internal or external team to take over maintenance later.
Outcome
