AnmVital is a smart-wearable health management app for older adults and for anyone who watches their health. A wrist device collects steps, sleep, fatigue, stress, sweating and skin temperature, and AI turns them into a health report anyone can read; when an anomaly such as a fall is detected, the app calls emergency contacts one after another.
Project background
In solo living for older adults and in chronic-disease management, “someone is watching” matters more than “there is data”: children want to know how far their parents walked today and whether they slept well, and worry most that a fall goes unnoticed. Older users cannot read complicated charts — they want one conclusion: “you have been doing well lately”.
Most band apps on the market only display data, stacking a dozen metrics on one screen with no analysis, no reminders and no family view. The client wanted an app that is understandable, can save a life, and can be shared.
Design goals
- Understood at a glance — the home screen gives the health score and key metrics as cards with anomalies first, with no digging through three levels of menus.
- AI interpretation — raw sleep, fatigue and stress data becomes readable health analysis and lifestyle advice; when data is thin the app says so instead of forcing a conclusion.
- A safety net — fall detection has adjustable sensitivity and, once triggered, calls several emergency contacts in sequence and records the location and the alert.
- Family co-management — family members can see each other’s health overview and join by scanning a QR code, so children can watch over parents from one phone.
System architecture
The app is organised into five areas — health overview, safety, health data monitoring, device and profile, and settings. Every vital sign offers day, week, month and year views, so you see today and you see the trend.
Core modules
Below, module by module. Each answers a specific worry in looking after an older person’s health.
AI health analysis
A 0–100 health score is generated from recent vital data and broken into health analysis, objective sleep metrics, and subjective feeling and habits; when data is insufficient the app asks for more rather than forcing a verdict.
Health data overview
Steps, fatigue index, sleep, calories burned and skin temperature as cards, updated live, with anomalies sorted to the front.
Multi-dimensional monitoring
Seven metrics — steps, calories, sleep, fatigue, stress, sweating and skin temperature — each with day, week, month and year switching, a gauge, a trend chart and a plain reading such as “energetic” or “dry and comfortable”.
Fall detection
Three sensitivities: a slight fall triggers it (recommended for older users), the balance algorithm cuts false alarms (for general users), and only clear falls are detected (for vigorous activity).
Emergency contacts and alerts
Several emergency contacts can be added and are dialled in sequence on an anomaly; each alert carries type, time, location and suggested action, and stays traceable afterwards.
Device pairing
Pair the watch by QR scan or Bluetooth search, see the device number and battery live, and unbind or rebind at will — changing devices needs no support ticket.
Family members
The member list shows each family member’s sleep, steps, fatigue and stress overview; invite people with a personal QR code or share health data to a WeChat friend.
Profile and settings
Nickname, gender, date of birth, height and weight feed the analysis; Chinese and English switching, version check, help centre and account deletion are provided, with clear notice that data will be deleted.

Outcome
- Seven vital metrics are unified into day, week, month and year views, so users can look things up without learning the app and can read the trend.
- The AI report turns numbers into conclusions and advice, and says plainly when data is insufficient instead of forcing a score.
- Fall detection is adjustable and calls several contacts in sequence, turning “a fall nobody knows about” into “a fall someone responds to”.
- Family members can see one another and invite by QR code, so children can watch over parents from a single phone instead of calling every day.
