The Aerospace SME Service Station was developed under the lead of Shenzhen Aerospace Industrial Technology Research Institute and is operated by Aerospace Science and Technology Innovation Co., Ltd. It is an incubation service platform for small and micro enterprises, built in answer to the national call for mass entrepreneurship and innovation, with a focus on start-ups in the civil-military integration field.
Project background
Start-up teams in the civil-military integration field most often lack not ideas but a way to reach resources: how to apply for a policy, where to attend training, where to find office space, how to keep finance and tax in order. These resources sit in different departments and agencies, and a company has to make many trips before a complete picture comes together.
Platform positioning
The platform gathers four kinds of support at a single entrance and presents them by the stage a company has reached, so a founding team no longer has to ask, one by one, “who should we talk to”.
How it operates
The platform was developed under the lead of Shenzhen Aerospace Industrial Technology Research Institute and then handed to Aerospace Science and Technology Innovation Co., Ltd. for operation. Developer and operator have distinct roles, which gives the platform room to keep iterating.
Outcome
- Policy, training, space, finance and tax support are presented together, so a company need not ask each department in turn.
- Development and operation sit with two separate entities, so the platform can keep iterating.
- Start-ups in the civil-military integration field now have one shared entrance to support.
