Blue Whale TMT reported on 4 April that the Amap app has connected with Alipay mini programs, offering the latter entry points such as scan, search and the app centre.
More than 20 Alipay mini programs, including Chexingyi traffic-check, Chediandian, Chejian Dashi, Jietingche, Umetrip and Chezhan Tong, have landed in the Amap client.
An Alipay mini program representative said developers on the Alipay open platform can sync their mini programs to run in the Amap client with simple adaptation.
The representative said that at this stage, quality mini program developers in specific fields such as travel and vehicle-owner services are being invited to settle in the Amap app, with wider opening to follow.
On 21 March, Alibaba Cloud announced the Alibaba Mini Program Fanxing Plan together with Alipay, Taobao, Amap and DingTalk, pledging 2 billion yuan in special support for mini program developers and merchants.
