Solution design requirements
Smart security systems focus on user experience; beyond security functions, current systems support diverse intelligent scenario applications.
Smart security systems follow six design principles: 1. clear, simple structure; 2. simple management, installation and maintenance; 3. powerful operation with remote setup and remote control; 4. easy monitoring and viewing; 5. extremely high security capability with alarm functions; 6. unlimited, seamless extensibility.

Functions and technical features
1. Networking: Wi-Fi plus ZigBee self-organising network.
2. Operation: remote operation by smartphone or tablet app, plus one-touch security mode switching, simple and quick.
3. Scenario modes: away-from-home mode, sleep mode, security mode (can start automatically) and more.
4. Functions the system can deliver include the following.
5. Remote door unlocking: users can unlock the door remotely for children and elderly who forgot their keys; when relatives visit and nobody is home, the owner can also unlock remotely.
6. Remote door and window control and monitoring: check by phone whether doors and windows are closed (automatic alarm if the main door is left open), and open or close them remotely.
7. Remote monitoring: owners can view live home camera feeds at any time from phones, tablets and other terminals to keep family safe.
8. Emergency help: emergency buttons installed at the bedside, in the bathroom, living room and kitchen let the elderly call for help with one touch; the system immediately notifies children, community security and the community hospital by SMS and phone.
9. Remote video calls: through the system, the elderly can video chat with their children anytime, anywhere with one touch, no fiddly steps, simple and convenient.
10. Anti-theft alarm: door and window security monitoring with intrusion alarm; once an alert is found, the system immediately notifies children, the community and the joint security company by SMS or phone.
11. Gas leak detection: when a gas leak occurs, the system automatically closes the safety valve to protect the family.
12. Automatic air quality control: environmental sensors monitor indoor air quality; when harmful gas exceeds the limit, the system can automatically start ventilation fans, fresh air systems, doors and windows to improve the indoor environment and give the elderly and children a healthy space.
