The mini program era has arrived. They are everywhere, and daily life increasingly runs through them. So what does one cost to build?
The honest answer is that the price cannot be stated in general, because it follows the build method and the requirement. It has to be assessed case by case, against the functions actually needed.
Two routes
Mini programs are built either as a custom development or from a template. Custom means the product is made to fit the client’s requirement. Template means an existing product is configured and put live. The first costs more than the second, for the obvious reason.
What each costs
A custom build generally starts around 30,000 yuan, with the figure assessed against the function list. The range above that is wide, because the requirement is what sets it.
A template is usually billed annually, from a few thousand to over ten thousand a year. That too depends on the functions, but the ceiling is much lower and the schedule is much shorter.
Why the numbers vary so much
Two quotes for the same business can differ by a factor of several and both be defensible, because they are pricing different scopes. Which is why the useful sequence is the reverse of the intuitive one: settle what the mini program has to do, then ask what it costs. A price offered before that conversation is not a price, it is a guess with a number attached.
