Why There Is No Fixed Price for a Mini Program

Ask what a mini program costs and the honest answer is that there is no fixed price, because no two merchants need the same functions. To a client who wants a number, that sounds like evasion. It is not.

Some mini programs are simple: a few screens, a form, a phone number. Others need payment, or a full shop with inventory, orders, members and campaigns. The second kind takes considerably longer to build and costs considerably more, and the difference sits in the function list rather than in the supplier’s margin.

Companies that build mini programs answer this question every day, and the answer is usually the same: somewhere between a few thousand and a few tens of thousands, depending on what you need. Clients often hear that as hedging. But a fixed figure genuinely cannot be given, because a mini program is not a standard article. Every company wants something different, and even two companies building the same category of product will weight the features differently. A more complex program costs more; that is the entire mechanism.

So the useful move is to write the requirement list down before asking for a quote. A supplier who can see the list will give you a figure that holds, and even if it moves later it will not move far. Ask without the list and you will get a range — which is all anyone can honestly give you.
