Maker Education Mall

Maker Education Mall is the online courseware store of Shenzhen Zhiyuan Education Technology for primary and secondary schools. Classes buy in bulk while parents pay individually in the mini program, and after-class feedback and home-school dialogue live in the same mini program.

ScenarioSTEM courseware sales and home-school interaction for schools

Project background

Charging for courseware courses is more complicated than ordinary e-commerce: the class buys the course as a whole, yet each parent pays their own share; after a lesson the teacher gives feedback student by student, and parents need to see it and reply. If the money is collected offline and the feedback goes through WeChat groups, neither the ledger nor the record survives.

Charging model

The platform is built around class bulk purchase plus individual parent payment: a parent can buy each course only once, and the button state is driven by whether that student has bought it — disabled once bought, “buy now” when the class has bought and the parent has not, and no purchase allowed while the class has not bought. The rules live in the system, so chasing payment and double payment disappear at the source.

After-class feedback and home-school dialogue

Teachers write feedback on each student’s lesson in the back office; parents read and reply in the mini program, and the conversation is filed by student instead of scattering across group chats.

Back office

The back office organises student data by school, grade and class, and manages orders, courses and coupons under one menu, so operations staff see one complete ledger.

Outcome

  • Class bulk purchase combined with individual parent payment works end to end, with every payment bound to its course.
  • After-class feedback is recorded student by student, parents can reply, and home-school communication leaves a trace.
  • The purchase button state is decided by the system, so double payment and accidental purchases almost disappear.
  • Courseware, orders and feedback sit in one mini program and one back office, so operations no longer reconciles across several places.
